Job summary

Arena Staffing is seeking a Communications Specialist to join on a full-time contract and support the development and execution of clear, engaging communications across internal and external channels.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and able to work remotely with leadership and cross-functional teams to align messaging with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, English, business, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in communications, corporate communications, PR, marketing communications, content development, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proofreading, editing, research, and content-development abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and distribute internal and external communications.
• Create employee announcements, newsletters, email communications, presentations, talking points, and informational materials.
• Support communication strategies aligned with goals, priorities, and brand standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to gather information and develop audience-focused messaging.
• Translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
• Manage communication schedules, content calendars, deadlines, and distribution activities.
• Support executive communications, including announcements, presentations, and briefing materials.
• Develop content for websites, intranet, newsletters, emails, and other digital channels.
• Assist with internal communications to improve engagement and alignment.
• Coordinate communications for initiatives, projects, events, and organizational changes.
• Review and proofread to ensure accuracy, tone, and clarity.
• Maintain communication templates, content libraries, contacts, and related docs.
• Work with marketing, design, HR, and other teams to coordinate efforts.
• Monitor effectiveness and gather feedback for improvement.
• Support change-management and organizational communications initiatives.
• Conduct research to support planning and stakeholder engagement.
