Job summary

PowerSecure Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Technician to oversee commissioning and field engineering for Distributed Infrastructure Systems.

You will serve as the liaison between client, PowerSecure engineering, service, and operations to ensure high-quality, on-time field vetting and safe decision-making. Requirements include a high school diploma, 6+ years in commercial/industrial power systems, PLC and protective relay experience, and willingness to travel up to 95% as dictated by project

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial/industrial experience with generators, ATS, and/or switchgear.
• Experience with PLCs, generator controllers and protective relays.
• Must be able to travel overnight up to 75–95% as required by projects.
• Advanced understanding of AC/DC electrical theory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Document onsite changes to as-shipped drawings and settings files.
• Program and edit PLCs, generator controllers, and protective relays.
• Understand power distribution, switchgear, and generator critical applications.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and communicate with teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, and operations to meet client expectations.
