Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Commissioning Technician for Turbo and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You will oversee commissioning and field engineering, acting as the liaison between the client and PowerSecure engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure successful site validation.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of commercial/industrial experience with generators, ATS, and switchgear, plus PLC and protective relay knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial/industrial experience with generators, ATS, and switchgear
• PLC, generator controller and protective relay experience required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 75–95%
• NFPA 70 Arc Flash certification preferred
• Strong written and verbal English skills

Responsibilities

• Document onsite changes to As-Shipped Drawings and Settings Files
• Program and edit PLCs, generator controllers, and protective relays
• Demonstrate knowledge of power distribution systems and switchgear
• Develop and maintain project schedule
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
• Assist in field retrofits and commissioning plans
