Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking a seasoned field commissioning and engineering leader to oversee the delivery of Distributed Infrastructure Systems.

You will serve as the primary liaison among the client, PowerSecure engineering, service, and operations to ensure rigorous field vetting and safe, well-reasoned decisions supported by experience and analysis. The role emphasizes travel, multi-discipline coordination, precise documentation, and adherence to project scopes and schedules while

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial/industrial experience with generators, ATS, and/or switchgear.
• PLC, generator controller and protective relay experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel up to 75–95%.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Arc flash certification preferred; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Document onsite changes to drawings and settings files accurately.
• Program edits to PLCs, generator controllers, and protective relays.
• Demonstrate knowledge of power distribution, switchgear, and phase conversions.
• Follow project scopes to prevent scope creep and maintain schedules.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule; communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Support engineering change notices and field retrofit projects.
• Coordinate with project management and engineering to maintain scope and schedule.
