Job summary

Kemper Corporation offers a fully remote Commercial Underwriting Associate position, headquartered in a flexible, high-volume call-center environment. You will be the primary contact for insureds and lienholders, delivering superior service and guiding policy interpretations within guidelines.

Responsibilities include handling calls, researching policy details, and processing policy changes while maintaining timely communication and accuracy.

Qualifications

• One (1) year or more related Property & Casualty experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• Strong verbal, listening and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced call center environment.
• Proficient with CRM applications and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming calls and follow up calls during shift.
• Provide superior customer service and interpret guidelines and procedures.
• Research policy information and exercise underwriting authority.
• Escalate risks beyond designated authority to supervisors.
• Process high volume policy changes from internal and external customers.
• Assist with questions related to billing, compliance and rating inquiries.
