First American is seeking a Commercial Title Examiner for a fully remote role servicing clients nationwide, with eligibility in Missouri, Pennsylvania, and California. The position involves examining titles, verifying chains of title, and producing reports for commercial and industrial properties.

You will work independently, review documents such as leases, liens and easements, resolve discrepancies, and prepare initial title commitments within established guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of title examination or related experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform title examination and analyze chain of title for a wide range of orders.
• Abstract and analyze records such as leases, liens, and easements.
• Resolve missing or conflicting information in title documents.
• Prepare initial title commitment documentation and reports.
• Provide underwriting interpretation within guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
