Job summary

First American's Agency Division is seeking a Title Examiner to search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of commercial properties. This remote role focuses on properties ranging from simple parcels to complex commercial and industrial titles.

You will abstract and analyze leases, liens, judgments, easements, and related records, determine ownership and restrictions, and prepare initial title commitments following procedural guidelines, delivering accurate results

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Approximately 3+ years of commercial title examination experience.
Detail / quality orientation.
Customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

Search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of primarily commercial or industrial property title.
Abstract and analyze records such as leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plot and map books.
Determine ownership and legal restrictions to verify legal description of property and completeness of records.
Prepare initial title commitment documentation based on the application of procedural guidelines.
