Job summary

Greentech Renewables, a leading solar equipment distributor, seeks a Commercial Solar Design Project Lead (Spanish bilingual) to join our Design Services Team and manage a rapidly growing project pipeline.

You will report to the Director of Engineering, lead preliminary commercial designs with Helioscope or similar software, and coordinate with sales and contractors to deliver code-compliant designs that meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or solar engineering or project management plus solar construction experience or journeyman electrician with solar/design experience.
• Preliminary solar design experience specializing in the commercial market.
• Knowledge of electrical and building codes related to solar design & installations.
• Excellent solar product knowledge.
• Spanish bi-lingual.

Responsibilities

• Be the service face and customer advocate within the commercial design team.
• Identify and manage potential customers and leads.
• Work with sales reps to select suitable solar equipment meeting customer requirements.
• Advocate for the customer and represent the assigned design team to win the design job.
• Review products for code-compliant installations and customer conformity.
• Operate Helioscope or Solesca for preliminary designs.
• Serve as liaison between sales, customers, and the design team.
• Assist commercial sales with project quoting.
• Attend trade shows and maintain customer relationships remotely or in person.
• Monitor technical support and route requests to domain experts.
