Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Project Design Lead to coordinate multiple third parties across the design lifecycle from Preliminary/30% through IFC drawings. You will interface with internal construction and design teams to ensure reliable, safe, and high-quality designs and maintain Engineers of Record relationships.

You will drive value engineering, manage RFIs, and coordinate with Procurement and Project management to align technical requirements with subcontract scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of design leadership or project engineering experience.
• Experience on utility-scale solar PV or renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct multiple third parties to facilitate all aspects of the design from Preliminary/30% through IFC.
• Ensure the design meets client requirements and applicable safety and industry codes and standards.
• Provide access to constraints or data from the client for project design.
• Consider installation methods and long-term operations and maintenance during design.
• Prepare and manage RFIs and submittals during the design phase.
