Job summary

Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon, VA seeks a Commercial Loan Operations Specialist to support Business Development and Lending Officers. Responsibilities include handling member inquiries, processing loan documentation, wires, appraisals, and post-closing duties.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in commercial/SBA lending, familiarity with LaserPro, and strong organizational skills. On-site work with potential remote flexibility; typical workweek 8–5.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in Commercial and/or SBA lending, incl. 1–3 years preparing loan docs.
• On-site work in Herndon, VA with ability to work remotely as needed.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
• Experience with LaserPro or related software.
• Experience tracking numerical data and detailed information.
• Strong team collaboration and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide member services and liaison between departments.
• Assist coworkers with member inquiries or problems.
• Ensure prompt and courteous responses to inquiries.
• Process wires, account reviews, and general maintenance.
• Order appraisals, certificates, and reports as needed.
• Prepare and process loan documentation for commercial/real estate loans.
• Coordinate funding with loan servicing and ensure wires/fees are processed.
• Review UCC financing statements; file and terminate as needed.
• Conduct post-closing file reviews and manage documentation.
• Assist renewals up to 60 days from maturity; request financials as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to NWFCU policies and BSA rules.
