Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business initiatives. The role blends remote work with periodic on-site collaboration as needed within IOA policies.

You will lead a small account management team, handle policy administration, billing, renewals, and client communications, while ensuring high service levels and accurate data across agency systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business and ensure retention.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities; resolve complex issues with accuracy.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: research, submit, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and data accuracy across platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance and champion IOA values.
