Job summary

Altius Search Group is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst for an established national equipment finance company. This remote role underwrites commercial borrowers, prepares credit recommendations, and collaborates with sales, operations, and leadership to move transactions through approval.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of direct equipment finance underwriting and can manage multiple deals with independent judgment while escalating complex issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of direct commercial equipment finance underwriting.
• Experience underwriting equipment loans, leases, or related transactions.
• Strong financial statement, cash flow, collateral, and repayment analysis.
• Ability to prepare concise credit memoranda and underwriting recommendations.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and portfolio management systems.
• Work remotely from within the United States during business hours.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite equipment finance transactions by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and collateral.
• Evaluate equipment loans, leases, and related structures for risk and terms.
• Assess values, advance rates, terms, and borrower risk for each deal.
• Prepare well-supported credit memoranda and approvals.
• Present transactions to senior leadership or committees as needed.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and credit teams to gather necessary information.
• Maintain credit files, conditions, and workflow status.
• Monitor trends and emerging risks in assigned portfolios.
