Job summary

1 st MidAmerica in Bethalto, IL, is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to support underwriting and monitoring of our commercial loan portfolio. This role emphasizes accurate financial analysis, cash-flow assessment, and industry research to inform credit decisions.

You will review financial statements, tax returns, and collateral data, while collaborating with team members to maintain credit quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or industry-equivalent certification.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Spreads and analyzes financial statements, tax returns, aging, inventory and appraisal reports.
• Determines cash flow using appropriate software and models.
• Analyzes financial conditions, industries and trends.
• Performs credit investigations and analyzes loan information.
• Gathers credit data from reports, bureaus, and branches.
• Completes annual loan reviews and risk assessments.
• Monitors covenants and collects financial information.
• Ensures proper documentation in credit files.
