Job summary

Midwest BankCentre is seeking a Credit Analyst to provide analytical support for its commercial banking team. You will analyze current credit data, financial statements, and due diligence materials to assess risk in lending decisions.

Responsibilities include spreading financial statements, preparing cash flow analyses, evaluating borrower repayment capacity, and assisting with credit approvals and portfolio monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or other business-related field required or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Use of logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and ability to read a financial statement.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Spread business financial statements and produce cash flow analyses for loans.
• Analyze trends in borrowers' business and assess repayment capacity.
• Assist in preparing credit approval forms and risk ratings.
• Assist in monitoring the commercial loan portfolio.
• Ensure financial statements and compliance certificates are up to date.
• Maintain knowledge of borrowers and collateral through financial research.
