Job summary

1 st MidAmerica in Bethalto, IL, is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to support underwriting and monitoring of our commercial loan portfolio. This role emphasizes accurate financial analysis, cash-flow assessment, and industry research to inform credit decisions.

You will review financial statements, tax returns, and collateral data, while collaborating with team members to maintain credit quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or industry-equivalent certification.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Spreads and analyzes financial statements, tax returns, aging, inventory and appraisal reports.
• Determines cash flow using appropriate software and models.

• Gathers credit data from reports, bureaus, and branches.
• Completes annual loan reviews and risk assessments.

We are currently seeking motivated and member-oriented individuals to join our team as a Commercial Credit Analyst.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to complete analytical tasks associated with underwriting and monitoring the organization’s Commercial Loan Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Spreads and analyzes business and personal financial statements and tax returns, accounts receivable and payable aging, inventory reports, and third-party appraisal reports.
• Determines cash flow using appropriate software and cash flow models.
• Analyzes financial conditions, industries, and trends.
• Conducts credit investigations and analyzes credit information pertaining to loans.
• Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches.
• Completes annual loan reviews, risk grades, and problem loan reports.
• Collects financial information and performs covenant monitoring and testing.
• Ensures that all credit files include proper documentation including current financial statements and agency reports.
• Reviews and reports non-compliance with loan covenants.
• Conducts industry research and assists with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
