Job summary

Thrive Scholars is seeking a College Success Manager to help first-year Scholars transition to college, build strong academic and personal habits, and explore majors and career interests. The role combines remote advising with on-site involvement during a four-week Summer Academy in Miami.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 2+ years of professional advising experience.
• Experience advising at a highly selective college (academic advising, career advising, etc.).
• Strong relationship-building and coaching skills; ability to work across modalities.
• Ability to use data to inform program decisions and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coach a caseload of up to 90 Scholars to help them earn a first-year GPA of 3.3+ and identify opportunities.
• Coordinate workshops with College Success and Career teams to provide job search skills and internships.
• Support Scholars in filing FAFSA and persisting to their sophomore year.
• Develop curricula for first-year Scholars on course selection, major exploration, and para-academic skills.
• Aid Scholars in identifying mental health and wellness resources meeting their goals.
• Lead projects within 2–3 areas to advance department goals.
• Support planning and delivery of Summer Academy logistics and content.
