Job summary

Empowerly is seeking College Admissions Researchers to perform in-depth research from our in-house database and the internet to tailor data-rich answers for Empowerly students, families, and counselors.

You will analyze diverse sources, present findings clearly, and collaborate with the Research Manager and counselors, updating shared spreadsheets to keep our resources current. This is a fully remote role within the United States, paying 20 USD per hour.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the U.S. education and college admissions system.
• Excellent command of English.
• Able to work independently in a virtual environment with 72-hour deadlines.
• Willingness to spend ~0.5–2.0 hours researching each request and adapt as needed.
• Strong command of G-Suite or willingness to be taught.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research regarding college admissions and extracurricular opportunities; present findings clearly to each family.
• Analyze data from diverse sources to craft well-thought-out advice for high school families.
• Collaborate with the Research Manager, Empowerly families and counselors to deliver thorough findings.
• Update team spreadsheets to maintain an up-to-date shared resource.
