Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Coding Supervisor for a national remote role in the United States. The position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional overtime during business hours, and includes 4 weeks of on-the-job training.

You will supervise a remote team of edit coders supporting multiple Optum clients, monitor performance, and coordinate onboarding with HR and IT provisioning to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a remote team of up to 25 edit coders across multiple Optum clients
• Monitor performance, attendance, and productivity
• Coordinate onboarding with HR and IT provisioning
• Perform auditing functions and manage denial/work queues
• Collaborate with Billing Managers to optimize editing processes
• Serve as primary contact to hospitals for coverage and system access
• Guide coding staff and align with corporate values
• Track performance trends to educate the team and improve quality
• Handle additional duties as assigned
