Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation is seeking a Coding Specialist II to analyze clinical documentation and assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient and ASC records across JHHS. This remote role supports accurate billing and revenue integrity for multiple facilities within the health system.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in health information management and professional coding certifications (COC/RHIT/CPC/CCS) with at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in health information management or related field is required.
• Outpatient coding expertise with COC/RHIT/CPC/CSS certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of medical coding experience required; inpatient coding certification required for inpatient work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret clinical documentation to code and abstract data for outpatient records and ASC records across JHHS entities.
• Assign ICD-10 diagnoses, CPT, and HCPCS codes and appropriate modifiers for accurate claim submission.
• Review edits in Epic and collaborate with hospital departments to ensure compliance and revenue integrity.
