Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Five years of experience in professional billing and coding is required.
• Coding certifications (CPC, CPC-A, CCA, RHIT, CCS) are required or considered.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code professional and/or hospital charges from the electronic medical record.
• Ensure compliant and timely claim submission per payer and regulatory requirements.
• Provide educational feedback to providers based on audit findings.
• Communicate daily progress and provider-related concerns to leadership.
• Support follow-up staff with information needed for outstanding claims.
