Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin seeks a Coding and Revenue Integrity Education Specialist to educate staff on clinical documentation and medical coding that impact revenue.

You will develop training materials for CDI staff, collaborate on system applications, and use EMR capabilities to streamline coding and ensure revenue protection. This remote role requires 2+ years in coding/CDI and relevant certifications, with flexible scheduling and commitment to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in health information technology/health information management or related field.
• At least 2 years of progressive coding or CDI experience.
• Experience with training, organizational development, or project management is preferred.
• At least one of CPC/CCS/CCS-P/RHIA/RHIT/CCDS/CDIP is required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and educate all levels of the organization on clinical documentation and medical coding that impact revenue.
• Collaborate to develop and provide training materials and resources for CDI staff and system applications.
• Utilize coding knowledge management and EMR functionality to streamline coding, documentation, and revenue protection.
