Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is seeking a qualified coder to ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding and reimbursement. You will analyze patient accounts, review chart notes, and assist with denials, appeals, and coding updates across departments.

Role requires CPC/CCS-P/CCA certification, 3+ years of coding/billing experience, and EPIC proficiency. Remote work is available for candidates in the Houston/Pearland area, with ongoing professional development and compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business Administration or related field may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CCS-P/CCA certification required.
• 3+ years ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding/abstracting and healthcare billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicates claims following coding guidelines and policies.
• Researches denied claims and gathers payer guidelines to support appeals.
• Provide coding support to multiple departments within the Business Office.
• Communicate clearly with physicians and administrative staff.
