Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification (CCS/CPC/RHIT/RHIA) preferred.
• 3+ years outpatient facility coding and auditing experience.
• 1+ year collaborating with quality leadership to improve reimbursement and coding accuracy.
• 1+ year experience with computer assisted coding (CAC) technologies and EMR coding workflow.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and demonstrate expert knowledge of coding operations and best practices. Drive coding objectives within the client environment.
• Communicate potential compliance issues and risks to stakeholders and enterprise-wide implications.
• Collaborate with regulators (e.g., CMS) to address compliance issues.
• Conduct internal monitoring/auditing to identify process gaps and mitigate risks.
• Analyze audit results to identify risks and communicate findings as needed.
• Develop and deliver training on compliance issues and risks.
