Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification (CCS, CPC, RHIT, RHIA) preferred.
• 3+ years outpatient facility coding and auditing experience.
• 1+ years partnering with quality leadership to improve reimbursement and coding accuracy.
• 1+ years using computer-assisted coding technologies and EMR coding workflows.
• Intermediate proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert knowledge of coding operations and best practices for domestic and global staff.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and Optum360 policies with professional conduct.
• Communicate potential compliance risks and impacts to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regulators (e.g., CMS) to address issues.
• Perform internal monitoring and audits to identify process gaps and mitigate risks.
• Identify root causes of compliance issues and support corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training on compliance topics for applicable audiences.
