Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform prospective and retrospective audits of coding and medical records (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers).
• Evaluate documentation for medical necessity and CMS/payer compliance.
• Document audit findings clearly and audit-defensible; identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and deliver targeted education to coders, providers, and departments.
• Track audit results and support process improvements.
