Job summary

Inova Health is seeking a Coding Improvement Coordinator to join the Physician Billing team. The role offers a full-time day shift with remote work eligibility for specific states and ongoing education to enhance coding accuracy and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: Up to 5 years of coding or audit experience.
• Certifications: CCS/CCS-P/CPC/COC or equivalent upon hire plus audit credential such as CPMA or CEMA.
• Preferred: CIRCC credentials upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate educational opportunities and in-service sessions for coding staff to address improvement opportunities and new guidelines.
• Provide on-site or remote education; identify needs and develop in-service education and recommendations for claim edits and hard stops in EPIC.
• Assist with training and performance audits of new coders; perform second-level coding validation reviews.
