Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years in health insurance.
• 2 years medical coding via medical record abstraction.
• National coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC/CCS-P/RHIA/RHIT).
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook; strong written and verbal communication; analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Accurate coding of claims by providers.
• Research and analyze itemized bills and medical records for facility and inpatient claims to validate coding.
• Audit itemized bills and medical records to ensure CMS Coding Guidelines and ICD10 guidelines compliance; recommend coding corrections.
