Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a remote Coding Auditor Educator for Hospital Coding, with a remote-friendly setup but residency within WA, OR, or AK. The role emphasizes audits, education, and regulatory compliance for accurate ICD-10/CPT coding and DRG validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of acute care coding and/or auditing experience.
• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CCP or CPC family certification required.
• Completion of AHIMA coding education program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs coding audits and pre-billing reviews according to policies and metrics.
• Develops training materials for coding and CDI staff.
• Delivers ICD-10/CPT training and standards.
• Reviews payor/regulatory denials/appeals with audit findings.
• Collaborates with HIM Coding to identify coding patterns.
• Participates in testing Epic, 3M, or other vendor software.
• Provides production coding support as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
