Job summary

A.C. Coy is seeking a COBOL/IDMS Developer to maintain and support a large payroll application. This is a 100% remote, contract-to-hire position requiring a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, 8+ years of relevant experience, and expertise in CA IDMS. An active CompTIA Security+ certification is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and must be a US citizen able to obtain a DoD Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IBM z/OS-based mainframe experience.
• Expertise in CA IDMS database installation, maintenance, and security administration.
• Must have active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and modify software systems.
• Coordinate software system installations and monitor equipment functioning.
• Modify and manage existing databases and database management systems.
• Collaborate with project teams on database development.
• Ensure software standards are met based on user needs.
