Job summary

FANUC America Corporation is seeking an Application Engineer to deliver engineering expertise for FFA CNC systems, guiding OEMs and end users from early project development through installation and support.

The role is remote, focusing on Western New York and Ontario, with travel to customer sites across the U.S. and Canada, including Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse. Relocation within a centric area is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing, automation, or machine tool contexts.
• Knowledge of FANUC CNC products and related software tools.
• Strong engineering principles and manufacturing process understanding.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of 50% travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for specified OEM/MTB/Retrofitter accounts; propose CNC solutions.
• Provide application and marketing support at end-user sites and retrofit projects.
• Assist Sales Engineers with pre-installation discussions and site visits.
• Develop BOMs and configure complete systems for optimal CNC/servo solutions.
• Create technical presentations and white papers; participate in trade shows.
• Provide reports on customer activity and maintain the AE calendar.
