Job summary

FANUC America Corporation is seeking an Engineer to provide technical support across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeastern US. This fully remote role is ideally based between Mason, Ohio and Boston, MA, with up to 50% overnight travel and responsibilities spanning training, system integration, and booster sales support.

The candidate will leverage strengths in robotics, automation, and programming (FANUC TPP, ROBOGUIDE, Python, C++, iRVision) to empower integrators and end users, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in the engineering and integration of industrial robotics automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical and controls prints.
• Ability to interact and support Sales and Applications Engineering with engineering expertise.
• Must be able to legally drive throughout the regional area for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and visit key accounts in the region; train and strengthen customer skill sets.
• Build relationships with ASI network and end users to improve robot sales through training and tech transfer.
• Provide product and system expertise in robot hardware, software, vision, and safety.
• Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FANUC tools to assist customers in robotic automation applications.
• Promote ROBOGUIDE, Payload Checker, and other pre-engineering tools.
• Address setup and integration issues for common and high-end robot options.
• Track and document support requests with detailed resolutions and customer data.
• Support Vision Evaluations and troubleshooting iRVision systems.
• Assist with Demo and Sim Evaluations using physical and virtual robots.
• Join sales calls when high-level technical support is needed.
• Travel for trade shows and customer engagements; up to ~50% overnight travel.
