Job summary

Medsien is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join as a Care Partner. You will guide patients through enrollment in healthcare programs, assess eligibility, and provide consultations in both Spanish and English.

Work involves documenting details in EHRs, coordinating with internal and external teams, and educating patients about program requirements while maintaining HIPAA compliance. This is a remote, full-time 1099 role in the United States.

Qualifications

• CMA certification from a nationally accredited body (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and diagnoses
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Empathetic and patient-centered approach
• Strong attention to detail in enrollment documentation
• Organized with ability to manage multiple enrollments
• Proficient with electronic health records and basic software

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through enrollment for healthcare programs
• Assess program eligibility based on provided criteria
• Conduct patient consultations regarding program benefits and requirements
• Document enrollment details and eligibility assessments in EHRs
• Coordinate follow-ups with patients and internal/external stakeholders
• Educate patients about available healthcare programs and benefits
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Stay updated on program changes and communicate to patients
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurers, and social workers
