Job summary

Tenchijin Inc. is seeking a hands-on CloudOps/DevOps leader to run a distributed team of cloud engineers and SREs across time zones, ensuring the platform's operational health: SLAs are met, incidents are resolved and learned from, and cloud spend is continuously optimized.

This is a hands-on leadership role blending people management, incident command, and cloud financial governance. Reporting To: Senior Cloud Architect.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps/CloudOps/SRE roles, with 3+ years directly managing infrastructure or reliability teams.
• Demonstrated incident-management leadership on production systems with contractual SLAs.
• Deep architectural knowledge of at least one major cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and working knowledge of multi-cloud operations.
• Strong cloud financial management background: budgeting, forecasting, and delivering measurable cost reductions.
• Experience running distributed, cross-time-zone operations teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English for client-facing SLA and incident communication.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a distributed team of Cloud Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers; own hiring input and workload planning.
• Define and publish operational SLAs/SLOs for platform services; report attainment to leadership and clients.
• Establish an incident-management framework with on-call rotations, severity definitions, and blameless reviews.
• Own the cloud budget: implement FinOps, monthly cost reviews, anomaly detection, and optimization initiatives.
• Drive operational readiness for launches: capacity planning, runbooks, monitoring, and go/no-go criteria across regions.
• Coordinate with the automation roadmap to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Manage maintenance windows, upgrades, and change management with minimal client impact.
• Report KPIs (availability, MTTR, cost per tenant, deployment frequency) to executives.
