Job summary

Workiy Inc. is seeking a Cloud/DevOps Engineer to support secure, reliable cloud-hosted research apps and AI systems. You will manage GCP/AWS environments, containerized workloads, and production services, collaborating with scientists, IT, and security teams.

The role focuses on cloud operations, CI/CD, IAM, and security best practices, with strong emphasis on compliance and incident response in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in systems/cloud administration.
• Production admin experience with GCP/AWS/Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Hands-on with Linux, Docker/containers, Python, APIs, networking, DNS/TLS.
• IAM, SSO, OAuth, service accounts, secrets management.
• Serverless/containers orchestration (Cloud Run/Kubernetes).
• CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring/observability.
• Incident management, backup/recovery, patching, vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with ServiceNow and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Administer GCP/AWS cloud projects, IAM, service accounts, networking, storage, compute.
• Operate Cloud Run, Docker registries, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and IAP.
• Manage identities, RBAC, SSO, OAuth, service accounts, secrets, tokens, certificates.
• Maintain Dockerfiles, container images, Python dependencies, registries, configs.
• Monitor logs, metrics, traces, alerts, dashboards, and cloud costs.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Incident triage, root‑cause analysis, backup/recovery, DR and continuity.
• Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes via ServiceNow/Jira.
• Support vulnerability remediation, audits, threat modeling, risk assessments.
• Identify shadow AI services and overprivileged identities.
• Create runbooks and lifecycle documentation.
• Transition prototypes into production deployments.
