Job summary

Pantheon Data seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead AWS GovCloud environments and secure federal workloads, including Generative AI and SageMaker apps. You will ensure high availability and maintain compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev 5 and CMMC 2.0 Level 2, serving as the primary technical escalation point for developers and DevSecOps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including 3+ years in GovCloud.
• Experience managing LLM infrastructure and RAG pipelines.
• Terraform and IaC with cross-account state management.
• Advanced networking and security: VPC, IAM, KMS.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, CMMC.
• Ability to work remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage multi-account AWS GovCloud environments with Terraform and AWS Organizations.
• Perform cloud operations: patching via SSM, backups, and monitoring with CloudWatch/CloudTrail.
• Apply security updates, image hardening, and vulnerability remediation per Inspector and Security Hub; ensure FIPS 140-3 compliance.
• Integrate GHAS into deployment workflows and assist with IAM/VPC/EKS connectivity.
• Lead root-cause analyses for performance issues and outages in prod and staging.
