Job summary

Softthink Solutions is seeking a Cloud / Systems Engineer to support a federal government customer. The role involves day-to-day administration, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, servers, and enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GCP, Google Workspace, AWS, and/or Azure, along with Windows and Linux system administration. This is a remote position based in Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of cloud, systems administration, or infrastructure support experience.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, and/or Azure.
• Experience with Google Workspace administration is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, identity/access management, monitoring, security, backup, and recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related technologies

Responsibilities

• Administer and support GCP, AWS, and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Support Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Shared Drives, Groups, Meet, and user administration.
• Manage cloud servers, virtual machines, storage, networking, users, roles, and permissions.
• Monitor system availability, performance, security, backups, and infrastructure health.
• Troubleshoot cloud, server, network, authentication, and application issues.
• Support Windows and Linux systems, patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Assist with security configurations and vulnerability remediation.
• Support application deployments, migrations, backup, and recovery activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Work with application, network, cybersecurity, help desk, and government customer teams.
