Job summary

Mission Technologies is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect (Mid/Senior) in the DSCA program to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS. You will lead architecture, migrations, automation and governance to support DoD security requirements while partnering with cross-functional teams and government customers.

The role requires hands-on cloud engineering, deep AWS knowledge, and experience with IaC, security, and containers, with remote-eligible work and ETZ

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in AWS cloud platforms and services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation and CDK.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
• Security concepts including IAM, VPC, encryption and Zero Trust.

Responsibilities

• Builds and refines cloud architectures and provides prescriptive guidance on network and security.
• Leads early scoping and identifies critical dependencies.
• Identifies risks and develops architectures to support processes.
• Collaborates with business units to drive solutions and direction.
• Develops and documents integration frameworks for cloud systems.
• Determines sizing, capacity planning for infrastructure, network, and security.
• Designs end-to-end cloud infrastructure balancing performance, security, and cost.
• Plans migration strategies to cloud-native environments (AWS GovCloud preferred).
• Develops IaC to automate provisioning using CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
• Implements robust security controls (IAM, encryption, VPC, Zero Trust).
• Optimizes cloud environments via monitoring, cost analysis, and performance tuning.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate concepts to executive recommendations.
• Supports Docker/Kubernetes containerization and orchestration; CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Performs additional duties to advance mission goals.
