Job summary

CAI is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to design and optimize cloud architectures, automate deployments, and support cloud operations from a remote setup. The role offers contract employment with the CAI organization and does not sponsor work authorization.

Responsibilities include developing scalable cloud solutions, monitoring usage, and driving adoption of new cloud technologies. Strong scripting and IaC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cloud Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with at least two languages such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
• Strong scripting and automation experience.
• Understanding of virtualization, OS, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and implement cloud architectures and deployment solutions with automation.
• Develop scalable, fault-tolerant cloud solutions.
• Monitor cloud usage and optimize spend and efficiency.
• Create automation scripts and deployment patterns for cloud apps.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and provide adoption recommendations.
• Provide Level 2 support for cloud operations incidents and changes.
• Document operational procedures and implementation guides.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve cloud utilization.
