Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer in Wichita, KS to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

You will move from manual configurations to infrastructure as code, build automated operation pipelines, and implement proactive monitoring while collaborating with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams to meet federal compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct Cloud Operations experience with Microsoft Azure.
• 5+ years in IT infrastructure, networking, or systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code for Azure resources using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Automate operations with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python to remove manual tasks.
• Maintain configuration management and ensure consistency across VMs and services.
• Optimize cloud spend using Azure Cost Management, Advisor, and scheduling.
