Job summary

Airship is seeking an Information Security Architect to own security architecture across cloud infrastructure, applications, and the CI/CD pipeline. You will be the technical authority for secure-by-design systems, partnering with Engineering, Platform, and Product teams to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.

This fully remote role involves threat modeling, architecture reviews, and defining standards while evaluating AI security risks and secure adoption patterns.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security or related field.
• Deep Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security expertise and workload protection.
• Hands-on CI/CD security and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience performing threat modeling for distributed systems.
• Security reviews for cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Proficient in scripting (Python/Java/Bash).
• Knowledge of network security, IAM, and SSO concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Airship's security architecture and standards.
• Perform security architecture reviews for enterprise apps, cloud platforms, and integrations.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify gaps and mitigations.
• Define cloud security guardrails, segmentation patterns, and logging standards in GCP.
• Integrate security controls into the CI/CD pipeline and IaC workflows.
• Evaluate architecture changes for security impact and guidance.
• Assess AI/GenAI tools for security risks and usage patterns.
• Develop security guidance for API security, SAML/OAuth2, and IAM.
• Research threats and vulnerabilities to reduce breach risk.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance security analysis and threat detection.
• Collaborate with security tooling teams on architecture-fit tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Provide security guidance for complex customer inquiries.
• Mentor colleagues on secure design principles.
