Job summary

DJ&A seeks a Systems Administrator / Cloud Operations Engineer to manage identity, core cloud services, servers and networks across multiple data centers. You will own routine admin, patching, monitoring, backup, and participate in tenant consolidation while supporting field staff.

This role works with a senior systems engineer and requires strong scripting (PowerShell), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Microsoft 365 administration, and networking basics.

Qualifications

• Four or more years administering Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure, with hands-on patch management, backup, monitoring and data center operations.
• Working command of Entra ID or Active Directory, conditional access and multi-factor authentication.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) and enterprise backup.
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and VPNs.
• Scripting and automation capability — PowerShell at minimum — sufficient to avoid doing repetitive work by hand.
• The discipline to document work to a standard someone else can follow.
• The ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to offices and data centers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine administration across servers, virtualization, cloud workloads, storage, backup and patch cycles.
• Operate and maintain the company's three data centers, and participate in data center consolidation.
• Monitor infrastructure health, respond to alerts, and provide second-level escalation.
• Administer identity services including Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Support Microsoft 365 configuration and security controls (DLP, retention, audit).
• Provide second-level end-user and application support for engineering and design software.
