Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to join our Observability organization. You will design, build, and operate high-scale telemetry systems across Observability Platform and Internal Observability.

Role focuses on reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency, with on-call responsibilities and close collaboration with product and infra teams. You will solve production problems from design through operation and automate repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go and cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes and modern CI/CD tooling.
• Hands-on telemetry and observability tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems that ingest, process, and store telemetry at very high scale.
• Own the reliability, performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipelines and storage systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation, resolve production incidents, and drive root-cause fixes to completion.
• Build software and automation to eliminate repetitive operational work and simplify platform operations.
• Identify architectural bottlenecks and help shape the roadmap for next scale stages.
• Work with product, infrastructure, and service teams across the company.
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews to raise engineering quality.
