Job summary

ClickHouse in Canada is seeking an experienced software engineer for its Observability Platform and Internal Observability teams. You will design, build, and operate distributed systems handling telemetry at scale, and own reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

This remote-friendly role requires 5+ years, strong Go, Kubernetes, and cloud experience; you’ll collaborate across product and infra teams to improve operations and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go.
• Experience building and operating services on Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling such as Terraform, Helm, and Argo CD.
• Production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with telemetry systems like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems that ingest, process, and store telemetry at very high scale.
• Own the reliability, performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipelines and storage systems.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, resolve incidents, and drive root-cause fixes.
• Build software and automation to eliminate repetitive operational work and improve the platform.
• Identify bottlenecks and help shape the scaling roadmap across ClickHouse.
