Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Software Engineer on the Site Reliability Engineering team. This remote role focuses on building and operating reliable, observable production systems at scale, with AI-assisted development tools shaping the lifecycle.

You will contribute to observability, incident response, and resiliency while collaborating across product engineering and platform teams. A strong background in Python/Go/JavaScript and cloud infrastructure is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience designing, building, testing, and operating production software and tooling.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, observability, monitoring, or production operations.
• Experience participating in on-call or incident response for production systems.
• Ability to deliver well-scoped engineering projects and collaborate across teams.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools across the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve tooling, services, and automation for reliable production systems.
• Develop shared observability capabilities for metrics, logs, traces, and service health.
• Improve incident response and operational readiness with better tooling and automation.
• Build resiliency capabilities to identify failure modes and reduce operational risk.
• Identify recurring reliability toil and replace manual processes with durable software.
• Apply AI as an integrated part of software development and operations.
