Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Observability Engineer to advance monitoring, metrics, logs, and traces across the Auth0 Platform. You will lead cross-team instrumentation efforts, integrate services with instrumentation libraries, and help product teams quickly identify gaps during incidents.

You should bring 5+ years in SRE/DevOps, strong cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), Datadog expertise, and hands-on coding in Node.js or Golang.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
• Hands-on with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Expertise in Datadog for metrics, logs, traces, and alerts (Terraform managed).
• Strong coding in Node.js or Golang.
• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of microservices and observability patterns.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Champion observability best practices and educate teams.
• Run services in production and ensure high availability.
• Design services for high growth and availability.
• Provision and monitor cloud-native infrastructure.
• Design and maintain scalable observability using Terraform.
• Troubleshoot performance and operational issues.
• Automate tasks and improve scripts.
• Assist with performance testing and automation.
• Lead incident response to diagnose root causes and gaps.
• Drive cross-team instrumentation standards.
