Job summary

CNO Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Architect to define and drive cloud strategy across Azure and AWS. This role emphasizes IaC, standardized patterns, and governance, working with engineering, operations, and security teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

The position offers autonomy on complex initiatives, with emphasis on cost efficiency, multi-region design, and enterprise-wide governance. Remote-friendly within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/IS/Business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, govern, and evolve enterprise cloud platforms and foundational services, including cloud networking and IaC.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce enterprise cloud architecture roadmaps, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Architect and oversee enterprise cloud platform services, including landing zones, identity management, and hybrid connectivity.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure alignment across enterprise domains and governance of cloud networking.
• Define and review cloud solution architectures with engineering teams and 3rd party vendors.
• Identify, analyze, and recommend cloud technologies based on business needs and costs.
• Establish and drive operational excellence practices for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Define disaster recovery and multi-region resiliency strategies.
• Define and govern cloud financial management practices and cost optimization.
• Document cloud designs, standards, and processes for knowledge transfer.
• Partner with Security teams to establish secure-by-design cloud patterns.
