Job summary

Syniverse is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud, with a focus on automation using Terraform.

This is an individual contributor role emphasizing cloud security, IAM, networking, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Remote-friendly with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in related IT roles (network engineering, systems administration).
• Experience in cloud engineering with exposure to multiple cloud providers.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions for AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud under guidance from senior engineers.
• Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment.
• Support ongoing efforts to improve and optimize cloud infrastructure for security, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in cloud platform migrations and integrations with supervision.
• Contribute to cloud security measures, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security, following established guidelines.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security compliance.
• Respond to incidents and outages in cloud environments and assist in troubleshooting under direction as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud-based applications and services.
• Stay informed on emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
