Leidos is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Lead to join the Defense Enclave Services team. The role involves designing, deploying, and operating IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Azure, with DoD modernization programs and zero-trust initiatives. Remote work with occasional on-site at Ft.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 12+ years in engineering.
Experience leading cloud engineering teams and mentoring.
Expertise designing, deploying, and operating Azure, AWS or GCP solutions.
Proven ability to implement secure, compliant cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Provide thought leadership and mentoring to cloud engineers.
Design and deploy as code system architecture for IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services in the Azure Cloud.
Provide inputs to the design of the enterprise's cloud and mission architecture.
Evaluate and support application architectures across platforms to ensure alignment to cloud and modernization strategies.
Continually identify opportunities for improvement, including innovations to improve user experience and reduce costs.
Enforce security best practices and guidelines (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA).
Initiate interactions to foster career growth and annual performance reviews.
Scale cloud solutions and migrate data center capabilities to the cloud for ~400k users.
