Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Lead to join the Defense Enclave Services team, focusing on Azure-based IaaS/PaaS/SaaS deployments and cloud modernization for the DoD. You will guide engineers, define cloud architecture, and ensure secure, scalable solutions.

The role supports remote work with onsite at Fort Meade as needed, and requires an active SECRET clearance. You will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver mission-critical modernization efforts for DISA/DoD Fourth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing teams of engineers with mentoring and cross-team collaboration.
• Expertise designing, deploying, and operating solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Identity Access Management (IDAM), AzureAD, and CyberArk, Okta or similar solutions.
• Experience developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and automation platforms such as Ansible or Azure Functions.
• Understanding of Federal Government security requirements (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA).
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed technical team with strong communication.
• Current IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ or CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to a cloud engineering team.
• Design and deploy as code system architecture for IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Azure Cloud.
• Input to the enterprise cloud and mission architecture design.
• Evaluate architectures across platforms for alignment with cloud modernization strategies.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, security, and cost reduction.
• Enforce security best practices and data protection policies.
• Facilitate career growth and performance reviews within the team.
• Scale cloud solutions and migrate data center capabilities to support 400k users.
