Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Lead to join our Defense Enclave Services team, supporting a large modernization program for DISA/DoD Fourth Estate. The Senior Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, and operate IaaS/PaaS and SaaS in Azure to meet end-user requirements.

The role involves migrating on-premise apps to the cloud, enforcing security, and guiding a team of cloud engineers across multiple projects with a focus on performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience managing teams of engineers, mentoring and fostering collaboration.
• Expertise designing, deploying, and operating Azure, AWS or GCP solutions.
• Experience with IDAM, AzureAD, CyberArk, Okta or ICAM solutions.
• Experience developing IaC and CI/CD with automation tools like Ansible/Azure Functions.
• Understanding of NIST, FedRAMP and FISMA security requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication within distributed teams.
• Current IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ or CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentoring to cloud engineers.
• Design and deploy as code IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in the Azure Cloud.
• Contribute to the enterprise cloud and mission architecture design.
• Evaluate architectures to align with modernization strategies.
• Identify improvements to user experience, efficiency, and cost.
• Enforce security policies and data security best practices.
• Collaborate with the team and participate in performance reviews.
• Scale cloud solutions and migrate data center capabilities to the cloud.
